Your board was handmade from scratch — not simply engraved. Looked after properly it will outlast the occasion it was bought for. Here is how.
Wash gently
Hand wash with mild soap and warm water. Avoid soaking it, and never put it in the dishwasher.
Dry immediately
Dry the board right away with a clean towel so the wood does not absorb water.
Oil regularly
Apply mineral oil after the first few uses. With regular use, condition the wood every 3–4 weeks and let it dry overnight.
Avoid heat
Keep the board away from extreme heat — stovetops, ovens and direct sunlight.
Sanitize safely
For a deeper clean, scrub gently with a mixture of salt and lemon juice, then rinse with warm water.
